When registering for a library card, you may select how you would like to be notified by us should you put an item on hold as well as for reminder notifications, such as when an item is automatically renewed.

We offer 3 types of notifications: phone, SMS, and email. (Please note that selecting phone will result in a phone call for hold filled notifications only). A staff member will set these notifications up for you at time of registration based on the preference indicated on your card registration form.

Quick Guide to Updating Notifications

Log into your account using the MY ACCOUNT feature located to the right of the search bar.

From here, you can select which type and method of notifications for the following:

  • Advance notice - receive a message before an item is due by selecting the number of days in advance you would like to be notified; default number of days is 1
  • Hold filled - receive a message when an item you have placed on hold is now available for pick up from your local branch
  • Item check-in - receive a message when an item in checked in by staff
  • Item checkout and renewal - receive a message when an item is checked out to your account and/or renewed
  • Auto renewal - receive a message when an item is automatically renewed

Please note that you can select Digests only for advance notice, hold filled, and auto renewal in order to reduce the number of messages. Messages will be saved and sent as a single message.
