Set in San Francisco's Chinatown during the 1950s, in the midst of the Red (and Lavender) Scare, our Chinese-American protagonist must grapple with her father's possible deportation and her own emerging sapphic identity. In a time when queer romance was forced into the shadows, two women risk everything to let their love see the light of day.
