Our lives may seem to be a random and monotonous series of incidents, but they are much more than that. What you’ve done in your life – the ups and downs, the triumphs and disasters you’ve lived through and overcome -- is important, especially to you, your family and your friends. Often the only thing that future generations will know about you is the dates of your birth and death, with a hyphen in between. Writing your obituary to “fill in” that hyphen may be your last chance to share your story, in your own words.

The benefits of writing your own obituary are:

Ø To have the opportunity to say what you want to say about yourself

Ø To include items that your family may not be aware of

Ø To alleviate some of the stress of your death for your family

Ø To have your wishes honored

Ø To exhibit your personality instead of a resume of information

Join us to learn how to write your own obituary!
