Join Bossier Parish Libraries’ Central Library for a conversation to encourage healthy communication and engagement between citizens and law enforcement. During this guided evening, participants will explore the parallels between the pages of Angie Thomas’ novel The Hate U Give and current societal occurrences. Attendees will also receive insight into proper engagement with law enforcement. This evening will be guided by Dr. Helen Wise (LSU-Shreveport) and members of the local law enforcement community. This event is intended for audiences ages 13+, and it is open to everyone in the community. Parents are encouraged to attend with their teens.
