Libraries are Your Most Important Resource for School
by Andrea Gilmer

As we get closer to the holiday season, schools are ramping up the research projects, and exams are looming. It sounds scary but the library is here to help!

At all of our branches we have librarians just waiting to aid you in your search for that elusive bit of information that will help you write your paper. We have databases that you can access from home too, just in case you’ve waited until after library hours to remember that your paper is due tomorrow. (We’ve all been there.)

Speaking of our databases: worried they’re too much to tackle on your own? Well, now you can explore several at once from the home page of our website. Make sure the red box to the left of the search bar says “SEARCH” and you’re ready to begin. Type in your topic and the results will contain suggested books and articles available in relevant databases and in our branches. Suddenly it’s faster and easier to find what you’re looking for.

Not working on a paper, but an exam is creeping closer and your teacher is talking about topics that you don’t even remember learning about? We can help with that too. Homework Louisiana has online tutors who can answers questions on just about every topic covered from first grade up to the college level.

Remember: If Alexander Hamilton can write fifty-one essays for the Federalist Papers, you can write one!
