Weekly Column (July 12, 2017)

This month BPL is participating in the “Louisiana Boardwalk: Summer Series” on Friday evenings beneath the Texas Street Bridge.  Each Friday has a different theme; July 28 is Super Hero Night.

Families are invited to join BPL to make super hero capes, learn about library services, and enjoy the outdoors.  There will be other organizations with crafts, a live broadcast from Townsquare Media, outdoor movies, food trucks, live music, and a scavenger hunt with a chance to win $1000 in cash.

The last event in the Summer Series takes place on Friday, August 4 with the theme Back to School Bash.  The winner of the scavenger hunt $1000 cash prize will be announced on this night.

Come out and join BPL on July 28 at the Louisiana Boardwalk for Super Hero Night, then August 4 for the Back to School Bash.
