What is Mango?
Mango is an online language learning system for teaching practical conversational skills for real communication. It's the fast, easy and effective way to learn to speak a foreign language. All you need is an Internet connection and your library card number.
What Languages are Offered?
There are 36 languages offered through Mango, with 14 languages for ESL students. Later this year, another 48 languages will be added. As of April 16, 2010, here are the current languages:

How Do I Login?
Step 1: Click on the Mango icon above or from the library's home page.
Step 2: Enter your library card information including your PIN.
NOTE: If you experience a problem logging, please contact your home branch for information about your PIN or to make sure your library account is in good standing.
Step 3: After you have successfully logged in, click on the Mango icon and you will be directed the Mango website.
Step 4:
- Create a FREE Mango account profile so you can monitor your progress and bookmarks your lesson.
- Or click the "Start Learning" button to log in as a Guest User just to see how Mango works.
NOTE: Guest users can not bookmark partial or completed lessons. If you want to study a lesson over an extended time period along with keeping up with your progress, please consider creating a free Mango account instead.
Step 5: Select a course.
Step 6: Mango will perform a system check to make sure your Internet browser meets the necessary requirements. If not, you will receive a message with further instructions.
Step 7: Start learning!

What are the minimum requirements?
Mango performs its own system check to make sure your Internet browser meets the necessary requirements. If not, a message will display indicate what is components are missing from your system, which prevent Mango from running on your computer.
Mango's system check includes checking to see if Javascript is enabled as well as verifying the current version of Adobe Flash Player.
