2008 Survey Results

During our first annual Spring into Technology Week held March 24-29, surveys were issued to active BPL library patrons in hopes of determining what courses are desired, which branches should offer computer classes, what days and times should classes be offered, etc.

Based on the survey results below, computer classes will run from June-October 2008 as follows:

  • 84 valid surveys were received
    • Largest number of surveys:
      • East80 (n=32)
      • Plain Dealing (n=24)

       

  • Demographics:
    • 43% of respondents were born before 1946.
    • 44% of respondents completed high school/GED.
    • 81% of respondents were Caucasian.
    • 71% of respondents were female.

    3. Word Processing Basics
    4. Digital Camera Basics

    • W & Tu Evenings (3pm-6pm)
     
  • Most Likely Branch to Attend a Computer Class:

    • 2nd Place:  East 80
    • 3rd Place:  Benton & Haughton
