Hello! My name is Nita Wilson and I welcome you to the Koran Branch Library webpage. With over 38 years experience in the Bossier Parish Library system, I have been the manager of the Koran branch since 1994. My lovely assistant, Mary Ann Clary, has been at Koran approximately 11 years. Ann and I are here to serve our customers above and beyond their satisfaction.
The Koran library is open each Wednesday, 8am-5pm, closing for lunch 12noon-1pm. Located on Hwy. 527 next to the American Legion, we are a convenient location for the rural patrons of Koran and Lake Bistineau. Our branch offers numerous books, magazines, books on tape, books on CD, as well as DVD's. We also have reference books which include encyclopedias, medical books, along with the State and Local directories.
We have at leaest one Internet computer, and offer local fax service. We can order and place holds on any material you may need, whether it be inside or outside the Bossier Parish Library system. We also offer an exciting summer reading program for children ages 6-12, which is held at 2pm each Wednesday during June and July.
We love our library, and invite you to come and see all we have to offer our customers. You are always welcome to drop by, say hello, offer suggestions, or voice your library concerns.
