Hello,
Welcome to the Bossier Central Library. I am Anne Madison, head librarian. I have been with the Central Library for 8 years.
Bossier Central library is staffed with a team of experienced librarians. Children’s librarian Lucille Marabella and her staff plan and execute awesome children’s programs, including ongoing reading programs throughout the year.
The circulation staff, headed by Margie Carney, does a fantastic job of finding just the right materials for our patrons. The library has numerous fiction and non-fiction books, books on CDs, cassettes, and movies on DVDs available for circulation.
Our outstanding reference department is headed by Martha Matlock. There patrons are able to find answers to questions on everything from airplanes to zebras from our collection of numerous reference books, encyclopedias, and periodicals. Telephone questions to the reference department are welcomed and answered quickly.
Martha Stevenson, an assistant school principal by day, competently runs our night and weekend crew. The transition to the night library staff is made seamless by this great group of people.
The library has 28 public access internet computers for adults and children.
Bossier Central Library sponsors art exhibits from local artist’s organizations and Individual artists throughout the year.
