Connie @ Benton
Hello, everyone! I am Connie Ammons, branch manager of the Benton branch.
It has been my honor to serve as branch manager of this wonderful library since February 2007. I would like to encourage all Benton as well as Bossier Parish residents to come utilize your library.
The Benton Branch offers many great services including quite study rooms, wireless Internet, sixteen patron computers, and a spacious meeting room for nonprofit organizations.
The shelving arrangement is designed to be user friendly with sections of various genres such as mystery, western, and science fiction. There are also shelves used strictly for newly arrived and high interest material.
DVDs and VHS are also available as well as books on CD and cassette. The Benton branch also currently subscribes to approximately 165 magazines. There are comfortable reading areas in both the adult and children’s sections of the library, and for nice weather days, there are additional reading areas outdoors. For the three and four year olds, story time is at 10:00 A.M. Fridays from September until April. In addition, the Lap Time story time for infants through 35 months is tentatively scheduled for Monday mornings 10a-10:30a starting June 2, 2008.
The Benton branch is located at 115 Courthouse Drive, right next door to the post office. Come see your beautiful library!
Sincerely,
Connie Ammons (

Benton Branch Manager
